Apple has released a critical security update for Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices.
This security update is in response to the Spectre vulnerability identified earlier this month. Apple confirmed that this vulnerability impacts all Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices.
Spectre was discovered by Google Project Zero’s Jann Horn, alongside the Meltdown vulnerability. Both based out of device’s microprocessors, a user’s private data could be modified and transmitted without the user’s knowledge.
Update version number 11.2.2. for iOS and 10.13.2 for macOS are available today.
Security updates for Microsoft and Google have been already updated to fix this issue.
